Inside the guest Windows Server 2019 VM I can enable the Hyper-v role and I can create and run guest VMs Inside VMware Workstation Player I installed a Windows Server 2019 guest VM On the same physical box I installed VMware Workstation 15 Player This is the easiest & most straightforward method as you have a graphical user interface at your disposal. Method 1: Enable Hyper-V From the Control Panel. ![]() There are exactly 3 ways to install Hyper-V on Windows 10, all of which are explained in detail below. When I try to enable the Hyper-v role in the guest Windows Server 2019 VM I get the eror "Hyper-v cannot be installed: The processor does not support second level address translation (SLAT)" While Hyper-V is built-in on all supported PCs, it needs to be enabled manually. Inside VirtualBox I installed a Windows Server 2019 guest VM Enable and Configure Hyper-V on Windows 10 for Server Virtualization. Then select Hyper-V from Windows features and click OK to enable Hyper-v on Windows 10. And type optionalfeatures and press enter to open Windows Features. Inside the host I installed VirtualBox 6.1.18-142142 Press Windows+R keys on the keyboard to open Windows Run. My physical box is a Windows 10 64 bit host with an Intel(R) Core(TM) i7-6700 CPU.
